# Índice de fuerza relativa

## ¿Qué es RSI?

El RSI mide el impulso: ¿la acción está sobrecomprada (demasiado alta, podría caer) o sobrevendida (demasiado baja, podría rebotar)? Va de 0 a 100. Por encima de 70 = sobrecompra. Por debajo de 30 = sobreventa.

## Piénsalo así

Piensa en una goma elástica. Si la estiras demasiado (RSI > 70), tiende a volver. Si la dejas floja (RSI < 30), tiende a tensarse. El RSI mide lo estirado que está el precio.

## Fórmula

```
RSI = 100 - (100 / (1 + RS))
```

- **RS**: Promedio Gain / Promedio Pérdida
- **Period**: Usually 14 days

## Por qué importa

- Identifica posibles puntos de giro
- Muestra momentum strength
- Ayuda a elegir el momento de entrar y salir
- Funciona en mercados con tendencia y en mercados laterales

## ¿Cuál es un buen valor?

| Rango | Valoración | Qué significa |
|---|---|---|
| < 30 | Sobrevendido | Potentially due for bounce |
| 30-50 | Bajista | Dposeerward impulso |
| 50-70 | Alcista | Upward impulso |
| > 70 | Sobrecomprado | Potentially due for pullback |

## Ejemplo del mundo real

El RSI de GameStop llegó a 95 en enero de 2021: sobrecompra extrema, y se desplomó poco después. En el desplome de marzo de 2020, muchas acciones tenían un RSI < 20: sobreventa extrema, y luego rebotaron con fuerza.

## Cosas a tener en cuenta

- Can stay overbought/oversold in strong tendencias
- False señals in choppy mercados
- Use with other indicadors for confirmation
- Different timeframes give different readings
